・We are a pasta restaurant supported by the smiling faces of our customers who enjoy our meals (Our risotto and gratin dishes are also welcomed.)
・The smiles of customers' children who tell us they love our pasta are the source of our energy.
・We try to make our food as homemade as possible and provide gentle tasting food without chemical seasonings. We hope you will have a casual and enjoyable dining experience, just like an extension of your home dining. For families, it can be difficult to find restaurants that offer food-allergic children a place to eat. In response to customer feedbacks, we have worked hard to prepare allergy-friendly menu lists to show which dishes use eggs and dairy products.
・This is a pasta restaurant managed by a warm-hearted couple who say that it's really cute to see a child with food allergies, smiling and adorable, sometimes shouting with delight and said, for example, "This restaurant's pasta is the best!", "My favorites, please!".
・In their second year of their operation, Kakapo san responded to the needs of their customers with allergies by providing a menu that shows whether or not major allergens were used and whether or not they could be removed. Even before Food Allergy Association of Japan began offering SmileMenu, they were already providing their customers with the pleasure of eating.
・The restaurant's name comes from the name of a parrot in New Zealand. When owners were considering the name of their restaurant, the kakapo was featured on NHK's program with Masaharu Fukuyama, and they were fascinated by its lovable character and name, which inspired them to name their restaurant. The kakapo is a friendly bird with beautiful feathers that cannot fly. The owners are grateful to have had the opportunity to meet the location of their current restaurant, and they are trying to create a restaurant that is rooted in their hometown and loved by the local people.
・In 2017, Kakapo san won the "Special Prize" in the 2nd Setagaya Sparkling Individual Store Grand Prix.
・Kakapo san has been promoting take-out under Covid-19. If you are concerned about whether or not eggs and dairy products are used, please feel free to contact Kakapo san for other dishes that do not use or can be made without eggs and dairy products in addition to the menu listed in SmileMenu (please note that dishes with confirmed allergen details other than eggs and dairy products are limited to the menu listed in SmileMenu).
・Kakapo san always strives to make their customers happy, including people with food allergies. There are cases that Kakapo san may not know the type or severity of food allergy and please utilize our information while communicating well within the limits of what is reasonable for Kakapo san.
